Each summer, this impressive musical theater is performed at the edge of Rjukanfossen – with the waterfall itself as a dramatic part of the show!

Telemark’s Romeo and Juliet

The performance takes you back to the 1850s and tells the compelling story of the wealthy Mari and her love for the poor boy Eystein. It’s a tale of courage, class differences, and determination, brought to life by a talented ensemble of professional singers, musicians, dancers, and actors – along with dedicated local talents aged 7 to 70!
