What is Dine Around?
We know that many guests enjoy variety throughout their stay – especially when it comes to dining. That's why we've created Dine Around, a concept that gives you greater flexibility if you've booked a stay with half board, including dinner.
With Dine Around, you can choose which of our restaurants you'd like to dine at, allowing you to experience different concepts, atmospheres, and flavours throughout your stay.
All of our restaurant concepts have been developed under the direction of our Executive Chef, Jimmy Øien. Together with his team, he has created a diverse culinary offering, where each restaurant has its own distinct character while sharing the same commitment to quality, carefully selected ingredients, and memorable dining experiences.
How does Dine Around work?
1. Book your stay with half board and choose your restaurant
Dine Around is available for guests who have booked a stay with half board at Gaustablikk Fjellresort or Gausta Sportell during the period from 11 December 2026 to 11 April 2027. Your booking automatically includes a dinner reservation at Bjørk (Gaustablikk Fjellresort) or Sportell Restaurant (Gausta Sportell).
If you would like to dine at a different restaurant, please contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled dinner reservation. We will be happy to change your reservation, subject to availability.
2. Contact us to change your dinner reservation

Dine Around is subject to availability, and we recommend contacting us as early as possible. Please note that not all restaurants are open every day. Check our opening hours to see which restaurants are available during your stay.

If you have booked a stay with half board at Gaustablikk Fjellresort, you can take advantage of Dine Around and choose to dine at one of the following restaurants:

Dine Around is a concept that gives you greater flexibility when you've booked a stay with half board. Instead of dining at the restaurant included in your booking, you can choose from several of our restaurants and enjoy a variety of dining experiences throughout your stay.
Dine Around gives you the flexibility to explore more of Gausta's restaurants instead of dining at the same restaurant throughout your stay.
Dine Around is available to guests who have booked a stay with half board at Gaustablikk Fjellresort or Gausta Sportell during the winter season.
If you would like to dine at a different restaurant than the one included in your booking, please contact us at least 48 hours before your dinner reservation. We will be happy to change your reservation, subject to availability.

Your restaurant options depend on where you are staying.
- Guests staying at Gaustablikk Fjellresort can choose between Bjørk, Fjell Bistro, and Blikk Vinbar.
- Guests staying at Gausta Sportell can choose between Sportell Restaurant, Bjørk, Fjell Bistro, and Blikk Vinbar.

If you choose an à la carte restaurant, the value of your included dinner will be deducted from your bill. Any remaining balance can be paid at the restaurant or charged to your room.
All changes must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled dinner reservation and are subject to availability.
If you do not change your reservation at least 48 hours in advance, your original dinner reservation included with your stay will remain unchanged.
Yes. If you have pre-booked a children's menu, most of our restaurants will offer a suitable option for children, either from a dedicated children's menu or a buffet, depending on the restaurant you visit.
Blikk Wine Bar offers a slightly different dining experience from our other restaurants. Children's menus are not available, and the concept is centred around a relaxed wine and dining experience. If you are travelling with children, we therefore recommend choosing one of our other restaurants, which are generally better suited to families.
