Snow guarantee

When planning a ski holiday, you want reliable conditions and a great skiing experience. With Gausta’s Snow Guarantee, you can book with confidence, knowing that we have clear commitments regarding the alpine offering throughout the season.

If we are unable to provide the guaranteed alpine skiing product, you have the right to cancel or cut short your stay and receive a refund.

What does Gausta’s Snow Guarantee include?

Gausta guarantees:

• At least 9 open slopes from 11 December
• At least 17 open slopes from 21 December and throughout the remainder of the season

This makes Gausta one of Norway’s ski resorts with one of the most comprehensive snow guarantees.

To ensure reliable conditions throughout the winter, we continuously invest in modern snowmaking technology. An extensive network of snow cannons and an advanced snow production system allow us to produce snow efficiently whenever conditions permit, helping to secure a strong alpine offering throughout the season.

 
When and how can the Snow Guarantee be used?

If we do not meet the guaranteed number of open slopes, the Snow Guarantee can be used:

• From 4 days prior to arrival
• Until 12:00 noon on the day after arrival

Within this period, you may choose to cancel or interrupt your stay and receive a refund for eligible products booked through Gausta Ski & Resort.

Outside this period, our standard cancellation terms and conditions apply.

 
If the Snow Guarantee criteria are not met

If the guaranteed alpine offering is not available, we will refund the following products when booked through Gausta Ski & Resort:

• Ski passes
• Ski rental
• Ski school
• Accommodation*

* Applies when accommodation and ski passes are booked together as part of the same reservation.

Important information

Please note that the Alpine Snow Guarantee does not apply to temporary closures of lifts or slopes due to technical issues, temporary weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control.
