Yes, Gaustablikk Fjellresort offers both a playroom and playground. On the destination there are several other child-friendly activities.
Playroom: Adjacent to the lobby, there is a cozy playroom for younger children, equipped with toys, soft toys, and books.
During the summer and autumn seasons, there is also a simple outdoor playground next to the hotel, featuring a slackline and swings.
There is a designated area of the pool in the wellness department with extra shallow water depth reserved for children. The wellness department is open to children under adult supervision (applies to children under 15 years). Swimming is at your own risk.
For access to the wellness area, please contact the reception to receive a separate key card.
You will see the accommodation price for children when you make your booking online. This varies depending on the season.
There is no babysitting service at the resort
You can add a baby cot and high chair, as an extra, when booking online for an additional charge. Children's duvet and pillow with bed linen are included.
At Gaustablikk Fjellresort you can choose between family rooms (3 adults + 2 children), superior double rooms (2 adults + 1 child), suites (2 adults + 2 children), or junior suites (2 adults + 2 children).
At Gausta Sportell you can choose between family room with 4 beds or apartments with 8 beds
If you would like two rooms next to each other, please note this in the “other requests” comment field when making your online booking. While this cannot be guaranteed, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
You may also choose to book one of our cabins or apartments if you prefer more spacious accommodation.
There is a small selection of candy available at the concierge desk (next to the reception) at Gaustablikk Fjellresort.
Ice cream, candy and other snacks can be purchased at Pose & Sekk Dagligvare (grocery store), which is located on the first floor of the Stova building, directly across the road from Gaustablikk Fjellresort.
Yes, if you have forgotten or need new children's clothing or equipment, you can visit Sport 1 Gaustablikk. The sports store is located right across the road from Gaustablikk Fjellresort in the Stova building
Up the stairs by the reception at Gaustablikk Fjellresort, you'll find the library. A cozy room with a good atmosphere to play various board games or read a good book. There's also a TV in there.
In the mini shop in the lobby, you can buy travel-friendly games like dominoes, chess, backgammon, and a deck of cards. You can borrow drawing materials from the reception.
There are no Playstation or other video games at Gaustablikk Fjellresort.
At Gausta Sportell there is a few games available to borrow from the lobby.
At Gaustablikk Fjellresort, the restaurants offer either a dedicated children’s menu or a children’s buffet. This depends on the season (high/low) and the number of children staying at the hotel. When a children’s buffet is served, the separate children’s menu is not available.
During the winter season, there are several options for child-friendly dining at the Gausta destination. At Stova, located opposite the hotel, guests can choose from pizza, pasta, burgers, and salads. Bygget serves Asian street food but does not offer a children’s menu. At Fjell Bistro, there are a few options suitable for children.
At Gausta Sportell, we offer a child-friendly dinner option for guests staying at the hotel.
The bakery at Gausta is a popular stop for families visiting the area. It is located adjacent to the children’s areas at Gausta Ski Centre—ideal for a short break with a warm cup of cocoa. The bakery offers a wide selection of cakes, pastries, and sandwiches.
