Explore Gausta and Kvitåvatn
Kvitåvatn is beautifully located by Gaustablikk Fjellresort and offers calm surroundings and great opportunities for water activities. Here, you can enjoy a small beach with easy access to the water or head out onto the piers for a relaxing moment in the sun and a refreshing swim.
By the beach, you’ll find a smaller pier, while a larger pier is located by the floating sauna. Both have ladders and access to deeper water. The floating sauna must be booked in advance.
For a more active experience, equipment such as boats, canoes, SUPs, and life jackets can be rented at Gausta Activity Center. These activities are suitable for all ages and offer a new way to explore the area.
All activities and swimming are at your own risk.
SUP-boards
SUP (stand up paddleboarding) is a calm and accessible activity where you stand on a board and paddle across the water. It offers a great combination of balance, movement, and nature experience, and is suitable for both beginners and more experienced users.
At Gausta, SUP is a great way to explore Kvitåvatn, and equipment can be rented at Gausta Activity Center.
Boats & Canoes
Exploring Kvitåvatn by rowboat, pedal boat, or canoe offers a calm and nature-focused experience on the water. It’s an activity suitable for all ages and a great way to enjoy the surroundings at your own pace.
Life jackets are available, and equipment can be rented at Gausta Activity Center.
Beach and pier
Take a refreshing swim in Kvitåvatn and enjoy sunny days at the small beach or on the piers just outside Gaustablikk Fjellresort. The sheltered beach is well suited for young children to play in the sand and offers easy access to the water.
