Winter season 25/26
We leave behind the strongest winter season in Gausta’s history. With excellent conditions throughout the entire winter and record visitor numbers in the resort – reaching around 3,500 guests at peak – this has been a season we are truly proud of. In total, we surpassed 200,000 alpine ski days. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited us and contributed to great experiences in the mountains.
Growth and development
This winter has been marked by strong growth, especially internationally. The number of guests from British tour operators increased by as much as 63 percent compared to last year, and both the Swedish and Danish markets are also showing solid growth. At the same time, we see a clear shift in how Gausta is perceived – from being known for food and stays to becoming a fully-fledged alpine destination with high quality across all touchpoints.
The ski school and ski rental delivered their best results ever, with several days completely sold out. We are bringing this momentum forward and increasing capacity for the upcoming season.
A lift as a destination
Throughout the winter, we have also seen strong results from our new initiatives. Gausta Sportell and Bygget Restaurant have established themselves as important meeting places, both for guests and cabin owners. Feedback has been very positive, and bookings for next winter are already underway.
Gausta Ski rental
Gausta Ski rental is the only Stöckli test center and ski rental offering Stöckli in the Nordics. The skis are now prepared and waxed for summer storage, ready for the next season. A big thank you to all guests who had the opportunity to experience Stöckli with us this winter.
Looking ahead to summer
Even though the ski season has come to an end, activities at Gausta continue. Preparations for the summer season are well underway, and we are currently unpacking brand-new gravel bikes. With a bike park, hiking, and nature experiences, everything is set for an active summer in the mountains.
All our accommodation options remain open throughout summer and autumn, and we are getting ready for weddings, events, and holiday stays.
A strong start to next winter
We are already seeing very positive momentum heading into the next season. Advance bookings are up 110 percent compared to the same time last year, with strong demand for our cabins and ski-in/ski-out experiences.
We look forward to welcoming you back – both summer and winter.
