What's New for the 2026/2027 Winter Season at Gausta
Gausta continues to develop both the ski resort and the overall guest experience, and for the 2026/2027 winter season, we are excited to introduce several new additions. With new alpine experiences, extended opening hours, and even greater predictability when it comes to snow conditions, everything is set for an unforgettable winter in the mountains.
Two New Names on the Mountain This season, we're introducing two news with their own names, making it even easier for guests to explore and enjoy everything the resort has to offer.
Our newly groomed forest trail has been named Pine Rush, a fun and varied run that takes skiers through beautiful woodland terrain. This slope makes it even easier to ride the woods if your into that! Pine Rush will be between 14. Telemarksvingen and 15. Sondreløypa. See you in Pine Rush?
At the same time, we're launching Fun Run, our brand-new fun park where guests of all ages can challenge themselves, develop new skills, and have fun on skis or snowboards. This is a fun park you hopefully want to ride again and again. Fun Run is located in 27. Fyrieggen
Extended Opening Hours at the Ski Resort
To give our guests more time on the slopes, we're opening the ski resort one hour earlier this season!
11 December 2026 – 5 February 2027 09:00–15:30 Monday–Sunday
6 February 2027 – 11 April 2027
09:00–16:30 Monday–Sunday
Easier Shopping with Extended Opening Hours at Pose & Sekk
Starting on 11 December, our grocery store Pose & Sekk will also offer extended opening hours. The store will be open daily from 08:00 to 19:00, making it easier to shop both before hitting the slopes and after an active day in the mountains. Whether you need fresh breakfast rolls, ingredients for dinner, or a cozy evening treat, everything will be even more accessible for our guests.
Norway's Best Snow Guarantee?
We'll let you decide.
What we can promise is that planning your alpine holiday will be easier than ever. From 11 December, at least 9 slopes will be open, and by 21 December, no fewer than 17 slopes will be ready for the season. This provides both cabin owners and visiting guests with greater confidence when planning their winter adventures at Gausta
More News Is on the Way
The development doesn't stop here. We're also working on exciting new dining concepts that will further enhance the guest experience at Gausta.
More information will be announced soon, so make sure to follow our channels for additional updates about the 2026/2027 winter season. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning guests to a winter packed with alpine adventures, great experiences, and unforgettable memories in the mountains.
